Ten quality Web3 podcasts for crypto builders and enthusiasts
One of the coolest things about Web3 is that there are so many incredible (and free) educational resources for those looking to broaden their knowledge of crypto and blockchain. Perhaps it has something to do with Web3’s ethos of transparency and open source building that has led to the creation of so many high quality resources to help onboard and uplift others. Whether you’re a newcomer or seasoned Web3 professional, there is no shortage of content for you, and this is certainly true for podcasts as well.
Here, we highlight ten of these podcasts, in no particular order, that are worth a listen for crypto builders, enthusiasts, newcomers, and everyone in between.
1. Green Pill
Green Pill, by Supermodular’s Kevin Owocki, is a podcast focused on “crypto-economic systems that create positive externalities for their neighbors & for the world.” It’s a great listen for those interested in the regenerative finance movement, and includes fascinating conversations with those building regenerative infrastructure using the Ethereum blockchain.
2. Bankless
Bankless is focused on the revolutionary world of decentralized finance (DeFi) and explores the possibilities of a “bankless” future. The podcast deep dives into the emerging trends, cutting-edge technologies, and disruptive projects reshaping the financial landscape and is a great listen for anyone interested in the power of blockchain to drive financial inclusion.
3. Chain Chat
Chain Chat, by Diversity in Blockchain, aims to “increase awareness and educate on the many stories and experiences we collectively share as humans in the Blockchain space.” It’s a great listen for those looking for diverse perspectives on the power of blockchain to build a better world.
4. The Money Movement
Brought to you by Circle, the company behind the USDC stablecoin, The Money Movement “explores and chronicles the ideas and opportunities that are driving this new world of digital money through discussions with leaders in blockchain, crypto, DeFi, and financial inclusion.” It’s a great podcast for those looking to dive into the philosophy behind cryptocurrency, and to stay up to date on the most exciting developments in the space.
5. ReFi Podcast
The Refi Podcast, brought to you by John Ellison and Simar Mangat of ReFi DAO, is focused on the exciting and rapidly growing regenerative finance (ReFi) movement. It aims to answer the question “how do we redesign money and heal the earth?” and features fascinating conversations with pioneers working at the intersection of Web3 and climate.
6. Unchained
Unchained, a podcast hosted by crypto journalist Laura Shin, was launched in 2016 making it one of the longest-running (and most popular) crypto podcasts. It features one-hour interviews with a diversity of leaders in the crypto ecosystem, as well as rundowns of the most important news and developments in the crypto space.
7. Blockchain Socialist
Whereas many equate blockchain and crypto with libertarian and anarcho-capitalist ideologies, it would be wrong to equate the crypto movement with any one wing of the political spectrum. In fact, there is a growing movement of individuals interested in exploring the use cases of blockchain from a left-wing perspective, and The Blockchain Socialist is a great listen for those interested in exploring this intersection.
8. DeSci Podcast
Brought to you by Molecule, one of the leaders in the burgeoning Decentralized Science (DeSci) movement, the DeSci podcast focuses on the intersection between Web3 and science, and is a great listen for those interested in learning more about how blockchain can disrupt scientific research and development.
9. All About Impact DAOs
Brought to you by Impact DAO Media, the “All About Impact DAOs” podcast is the only podcast focused exclusively on the intersection between Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and social impact. Each episode features a deep dive into the world of Impact DAOs, including everything from governance structures to DAO tooling.
10. Crypto Altruism Podcast
Not to toot our own horn here, but we of course had to do a quick shill for our own podcast, the Crypto Altruism podcast. Each week we release new episodes featuring fascinating conversations with the movers and shaker who are using crypto, blockchain, and Web3 to build a better world, whether it’s through crypto philanthropy, regenerative finance, impact NFTs, or anything in between.
