Five high quality free resources to learn about NFTs
NFTs have been all the rage lately as they have experienced exponential growth. To put it into perspective, for this first half of 2020, there were $13.7 million in NFT sales. For the second quarter of 2021 alone, there were $2.5 billion in NFT sales.
So, what exactly is an NFT? NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are digital assets, such as artwork or music, which are minted on a blockchain so that they can be proven to be unique, thus creating scarcity. NFTs create a whole new set of opportunities for artists, musicians, developers, and content creators who wish to cut out the middle man, such as the auction house or independent authenticator, and provide their works directly to their customers at a reasonable cost to themselves.

For many, the concept of NFTs is hard to comprehend, but they are definitely worth learning about as their use cases are growing, and they have the potential to greatly disrupt the creative sector.
