Five great podcasts to learn about crypto and blockchain in 2021
One of the best ways to learn about crypto and blockchain, and to quickly get up to speed on the happenings in the community, is to listen to one of many amazing podcasts covering the topic. Whether you’re looking strictly for investment advice or looking to learn more about the nitty gritty of the technology behind crypto and its amazing use cases, there is certainly a podcast for you!
As we tend to focus on the good being done in the crypto sector, and advocate for education on crypto and blockchain, this list will focus on podcasts that fit within this mandate. This list is not ranked in any particular order.
1. Unchained with Lara Shin
Unchained covers a wide array of topics related to crypto and blockchain and features high quality guests who are prominent leaders in the crypto space. Recent notable guests include Michael Saylor, Mayor of Miami Francis Suarez, Mark Cuban, and Gavin Wood. This podcast is released a couple of times a week and does a deeper dive into diverse and complex topics in the crypto and blockchain space.
2. The Crypto Conversation with Andy Pickering
I have highlighted this in another blog post, but it is definitely worth highlighting again. The Crypto Conversation, within the realm of a Brave New Coin, is an in-depth podcast series discussing everything crypto and blockchain related. This podcast series has hundreds of episodes in its library, most of them involving excellent guests who are leaders in the crypto space.
3. Lex Fridman Podcast with Lex Fridman
This podcast doesn’t focus specifically on crypto or blockchain but looks at science and technology more broadly. This can be helpful for those looking to enter the crypto and blockchain space, as it doesn’t hurt to learn about other prominent tech trends such as AI and Machine Learning . Lex is an Artificial Intelligence researcher at MIT and brings fascinating guests on to his podcast each episode, often to discuss topics related to crypto and blockchain. Recent guests include Vitalik Buterin, Charles Hoskinson, and Sergey Nazarov.
4. The Women of Blockchain with Lora Salomidou
This smaller podcast series, which usually releases a couple of episodes a month, does an excellent job highlighting some of the amazing work being done by women in the blockchain space. In this podcast, Lora brings on women leaders in the blockchain space to discuss everything from DeFi to NFTs. Definitely worth a listen!
5. Cryptocurrency for Beginners with Crypto Casey
This podcast was actually one of the first I listened to, and it helped me learn about the basics of crypto and blockchain, and the core philosophies driving the DeFi movement. The first few episodes in particular offer an excellent primer on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Blockchain, and Defi. Crypto Casey does an excellent job explaining challenging concepts in a way that make sense for those who are new to the space.
