Eight DAOs and collectives supporting web3 builders
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of interviewing roughly 70 web3 leaders on the Crypto Altruism Podcast. Throughout these conversations, there has been one key theme that has consistently emerged. Many of these incredible leaders first got involved in web3 because they were excited about the technology. Ultimately, however, the reason they stayed was because of the incredible community in web3.
One of the many reasons as to why that they loved the sense of community in web3 is because of the high level of support and opportunities to uplift that exist in web3. This includes community circles, incubators, granting opportunities, and resources for builders those looking to make their mark in web3.
In this blog post, we highlight eight collectives and DAOs supporting web3 builders with education, funding, networking, and support.
1. Seed Club – Seed Club is a network of DAO builders that offers a 12-week intensive accelerator program where they help builders prepare for capital and community formation milestones. To date, they have run four cohorts of this program, with 60+ alumni DAOs including Refraction, Cabin, and more!
2. ReFi DAO Founders Circles – ReFI DAO offers a series of founder-led support circles for web3 builders working in the areas of Climate, DEIJ, and DeSci. 3. Gitcoin Grants – Gitcoin offers a grant funding program for web3 Public Good projects leveraging Quadratic Funding, which allocates a higher level of matching funds to the most popular programs as supported by the community. In their latest round of Funding, which wrapped up in September 2022, roughly $4.4M in funding was distributed to public good projects.
