About Katie & Outright International
For 31 years, OutRight Action International has fought to eradicate the persecution, inequality, and violence lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ) people face around the world. Headquartered in New York with staff in 7 countries, OutRight supports grassroots LGBTIQ activists, documents human rights violations, advocates for inclusion and equality, and holds leaders accountable for protecting the rights of LGBTIQ people everywhere. OutRight has recognized consultative status at the United Nations, where it serves as Secretariat of the UN LGBTI Core Group. In 2020, OutRight launched the Global LGBTIQ COVID Emergency Fund, which has distributed $3.2M in over 100 countries to support queer and trans people through the pandemic. Katie Hultquist has spent more than 25 years working for social justice in the non-profit sector and now serves as OutRight's Director of Leadership Giving, where she leads OutRight's partnerships in the crypto giving space.
