Web3 has an incredible ability to challenge traditional norms through the lens of decentralization. Traditional science is very hierarchical, expensive, gatekept, and lacks transparency. The Decentralized Science movement is addressing this by shifting power away from traditional institutions and putting it into the hands of scientists and the community.
Women’s health research is drastically underfunded due to a decades long cycle of research biases, a lack of women in decision making roles, and gatekeepers that have prevented women’s health research from getting the funding it deserves.
