Crypto Altruism Monthly Recap - April 2023
It’s Gitcoin Season!
If you’re active on Web3 Twitter, you’ve probably seen a lot of buzz lately around the Gitcoin Grants Beta Round. For the first time ever, Crypto Altruism is excited to be taking part in a Gitcoin Grants Round!
Our project will help onboard the next generation of Changemakers and Nonprofits to Web3 through the creation of a Web3 Changemaker Toolkit, the release of a special podcast series, and the relaunch of the Crypto Altruism content hub. For a detailed breakdown, make sure to check out our full grant proposal.
Gitcoin uses an innovative matching mechanism called Quadratic Funding to match funds contributed by community members. In a nutshell, QF provides more matching funds to the projects with the most individual supporters, instead of those with the most dollars raised. So, a donation of $1-$5 can go a long way through this matching mechanism. If you’re a fan of Crypto Altruism, we would be honored to earn your support with a small contribution.
For more information, check out our blog post where we give an accessible introduction to Quadratic Funding, Gitcoin Grants, and how to make your first Gitcoin donation!
