📅 Our Journey Together: A Timeline of Growth and Change
Since 2021, Crypto Altruism has grown from a blog into a thriving community with a mission to explore the positive impact of Web3. Here’s a look back at some key moments:
June 2021 – Crypto Altruism launches, bridging blockchain and social impact, sparking discussions on crypto donations and decentralized finance.
November 2021 – Podcast debut! Our podcast becomes a platform for interviewing leaders across Web3, highlighting how blockchain can drive positive change.
April 2023 – 100th Podcast Episode! For this episode, we reflected on some of the most inspiring moments from the first 99 episodes.
August 2023 – The Web3 Nonprofit Series Launches. We highlighted nonprofit organizations using blockchain to transform fundraising, transparency, and outreach.
January 2024 – Optimism RetroPGF Grant Received. With support from Optimism, we strengthened our focus on building public goods in Web3.
November 2024 – Introducing Crypto Altruists! Our brand-new identity, a renewed mission, and a commitment to creating meaningful impact.
🚀 New Chapter, New Tools
As Crypto Altruists, we’re excited to start this new chapter focused on connecting curious minds in Web3 for positive impact. Our mission is to spotlight projects that harness blockchain for social and environmental good, building a community where learning, sharing, and collaboration can thrive. We believe in blockchain’s potential to break down barriers, create opportunities, and foster equity and justice.
With this rebrand, we’re bringing more resources, fresh podcast miniseries, and community initiatives—all dedicated to exploring how Web3 can address challenges, from social inequities to environmental sustainability.
We’re also excited to announce an upcoming toolkit designed for those ready to make a difference in Web3. Stay tuned for more details!
